KimKim sauce was chosen out of nearly 2,000 entries to be a sofi silver medal finalist at the National Association for Specialty Food Trade’s Summer Fancy Food Show, the big food show to be held in June in Washington, D.C. May 12, 2008: Pierce overcame doubt to boost sauce-making

For more than three decades, J.C. Pierce Jr. and his family made the sauce used for meals at the Pierce's Pitt Bar-B-Que Restaurant near Williamsburg. But now it is produced by a Virginia Beach company (Ashman Manufacturing Co.) - and bottles of the original and honey sauce are available in more than 150 grocery stores in Virginia, North Carolina, Maryland and the District of Columbia. YORK - For more than 35 years, people have come from miles around to get a taste of Pierce's Pitt Bar-B· Que. Now that navor is as close as the grocery store. Available in two flavors, original and honey, ;'Doc" Pierce's Bar-B-Que Sauce is already available at nearly 20 Harris Teeter stores. August 17, 2007: Doc Pierce's Pitt Bar-B-Que Sauces now available in stores

The taste of a famous local barbecue restaurant off East Rochambeau Drive is becoming available by the bottle at groceries in Virginia, Maryland and North Carolina. Two Pierce's Pitt Bar-BQue sauces went on sale last week at about 19 Harris Teeter stores, J.C. Pierce said Thursday.
