If I have a recipe I’d like to bottle and sell, can you help me?
Yes, Ashman Manufacturing & Distributing Company is a full-service company and we can help you with every step necessary to make your product ready to sell on the market, but it typically requires a minimum cost of $12,000 to $15,000 to get started.
How do I know my secret recipe is protected?
We’ll both sign non-disclosure forms to ensure your recipe stays your recipe.
What do I need to send to you to get started?
Two things. First, we’ll need a sample of your product for a pH test. There is a fee for us to run this test. Second, we’ll need an 85-gallon recipe from you. If you want us to develop the recipe for this quantity, just let us know, but there is a cost for this service.
Are there other costs I need to be aware of?
You’ll need to have a nutritional, ingredient and allergen statement done. The cost for this is a one-time expense to make sure your label meets FDA requirements. At Ashman, we go above and beyond FDA compliancy and safety so you can count on exceptional manufacturing and quality control in every stage of the process.
How much of my recipe do you make?
Barbeque Sauce: Minimum run is 510 gallons or 6 quantity 85 gallon batch runs. This would give you a yield of approximately 390 cases (12/12oz) or 300 cases (12/16oz.).
Hot Sauce: Minimum run is 170 gallons or 2 quantity 85 gallon batch runs. This would give you a yield of approximately 330 cases (12/5oz).
Salsa: Minimum run is 425 gallons or 5 quantity 85 gallon batch runs. This would give you a yield of approximately 325 cases (12/12oz).
Dressing: Minimum run is 420 gallons or 7 quantity 60 gallon batch runs. This would give you a yield of approximately 318 cases (12/12oz) or 238 cases (12/16oz).
